HERALDIC TOUR AFTER CONGRESS

The HSS are organising a tour starting from St Andrews and ending in Edinburgh, taking in Dundee, Aberdeen, Elgin, Perth and Dunfermline. We shall visit churches, castles and other places of heraldic, architectural and historic interest. We shall also include a distillery, for how could one visit Speyside, without seeing a distillery? The tour will last for five days and include four nights. We shall end at Broomhall, the home of the Earl of Elgin, chief of the name of Bruce. Here Adam Bruce, Finlaggan Pursuivant, will show us the family treasures and Lord Elgin has offered some hospitality.

Updated 24th May 2006

There are less than 10 places left on the tour so you must book now. There must of course be a final cut-off point, when all the hotel bookings have to be confirmed and we expect that to be the end of July. However, at this stage we ask only for a deposit of £100 for each place.

Bookings must close 4 weeks before the tours' start date so we can still accept bookings - subject to availability - from 3 June to 28 July but a late payment fee of £25 will be charged for all bookings made in this period. This is in line with our terms and conditions previously supplied. However no new names can be added after 28 July.

As previously stated, the deposit is now non-returnable, but if you cannot come you can still send a substitute. The tour organisers, Scotland Tours Co Ltd will be in touch with you to confirm your booking within the next few weeks, when we have passed your details over to them. For any queries, please contact either them or Alex Maxwell Findlater on alex@findlater.org.uk
